Decorated with exquisitely raised and cut glossy pink flowers on a white satin glass base.... it is SHEER PERFECTION! For when held and viewed in the light...it is truly Breathtaking! it shows none of the harsh or muddy coloring many of the other Cameo glass producers created. With de Vez we see just soft gentle color that softly glows, which is far more difficult to create for imperfections cannot be camouflaged...this pristine Beauty Exceeds Expectations!
deVez was foremost an artist, Never a glass production house as many of the other Cameo houses of the period were. All of de Vez "Petite Jewels" are One of a Kind Works of Art!
In Circa 1851 E.S. Monot, founded his de Vez glass blowing foundry outside of Paris..his exceptionally beautiful glass established the deVez name as one of the very best in Cameo glass from Paris,France mid 1800.
Marks; signed in Cameo (as all good cameo glass should be) with a smooth pontil, and smooth inside rim on the neck of vase, a sign that there is no missing lid..this is a Jewel of Superior Quality!
