This is an uncommonly fine Greiner-type china lady with brown eyes by Kloster Veilsdorf, circa 1850’s. She has a perfect glazed porcelain shoulderhead. Her antique cloth body has long leather arms, and she is wearing layers of all antique clothing. Layaway is always an option, but please contact me before purchase to discuss terms. Here are the details:
Shoulderhead: Her shoulderhead is perfect with no cracks, chips, or hairlines. She has very sharp modeling, her painting is wonderful, and she has great expression. Her hairdo is Greiner-style with deep comb marks. Examination: She is extremely minor speckling and pitting, and only inconspicuous wear in her hair. She is a very fine example.
Body: Her antique cloth body has very wide hips and stitch-jointing at the hips and knees. She has long brown leather arms with individually stitched fingers. The body is in excellent aged condition.
Clothes: She is fully dressed in layers of ALL-ANTIQUE clothing. She has a sheer cotton dress decorated with numerous pink ribbon bows. Underneath, she wears a camisole, TWO half-slips, bloomers, and tall wool stockings. She has fabulous black leather slip-on shoes, and a blue and white beaded necklace.
