I just love her expressive face! This is a closed mouth pouty German girl by Kestner. She has perfect bisque and retains her original wig. Her 8-ball body is in superb condition. She is dressed in antique clothing including dress, unders, stockings, shoes, and a nice old hat. Layaway is always an option.
Please contact me to discuss terms before purchase. Here are the details: Head: Her bisque head is perfect with no damage. She has a closed pouty mouth. Her brown sleep eyes work smoothly and she retains the original eyelid wax. Her original blond mohair wig is thin, but charming with little ringlet curls all around. Her plaster pate is repaired. She is marked at the rear rim, Made in Germany 16. Factory Imperfections: I had to look very closely to find anything to report - a small bisque bump under the wig, some very tiny pinpoints of paint loss under the wig, an occasional tiny speckle. Signs of Wear: a rub on her lower cheek.
Body: Her original early Kestner body is in superb aged condition. There separate balls at the shoulders and hips, and she has the saggy butt typical of these bodies. There are no repairs and the finish is excellent – a very fine body.
Clothes: She is fully dressed in antique clothing. She wears a really nice blue cotton dress with a lacy inset bodice. The bodice and sleeves are edged with feature stitching, and the waist has rows of ruching. It closes in back with domed buttons and hand-made button holes. This dress is of the period and fits so perfectly, it may be her dress. Underneath, she wears a half-slip and bloomers that are also a perfect fit. She wears silky black stockings and black leather shoes. Finally she wears a nice old black straw hat. There is a little hole in her bloomers and all else is in excellent aged condition.
