13" Gebruder Heubach Coquette ~ Compo Body
Head: She has intaglio eyes and molded hair with a blue luster bow and band. She has an open/closed mouth with tiny painted teeth. She is smiling broadly and has a very mischievous expression. She has many markings: The Heubach square has a 77 on one side and 88 on the other, which signifies her mold number, 7788. Above this there is a 3, and off to one side there is a small 58. She is marked Germany. Examination: She has wire stringing which has caused a tiny chip down in the neck socket. Otherwise the head is mint and flawless with no signs of wear and no factory imperfections.
Body: Her original composition and wood body is fully jointed. Her torso has crazing, and one thigh is partially repainted. The remainder of the finish is original.
Clothes: She is fully dressed in age-appropriate clothing. She is wearing a blue striped jacket over a sleeveless dress. The dress has a dropped waist and a pleated skirt. Underneath, she wears a very cute one piece under – her full length slip has attached bloomers. This is how she came to me and these clothes could be original to her. Everything fits perfectly and is in very good aged condition. She also wears vintage white leather tie shoes and white stockings.
