15" German Bisque Lady ~ Molded Bodice ~ All Antique
Head: Her bisque shoulderhead is perfect with no cracks, chips, or hairlines. She is very pale with a closed mouth and blue painted eyes. Her blond molded hair has a center part, and is swept away from her face on the sides, exposing her ears. She has a molded blouse with collar and a tie with gold trim. This doll is generally attributed to Kling. Examination: This is an excellent head with fine painting and no signs of wear.
Body: Her body is probably original. It is made of cloth with stitched joints and red leather arms. One hand is lacking some stuffing. There are no repairs, and the body is in very good aged condition.
Clothes: She is fully dressed in hand-stitched clothing. She is wearing a three-piece dress. The skirts are pinned shut, and the jacket was sewn-on until I removed it to examine her shoulderplate. It is decorated with many silver-colored buttons. The buttons appear to be round, but they actually have tiny facets all over. Underneath, she wears an antique three-piece underwear set of camisole, half-slip, and bloomers. These pieces all match and fit perfectly. I believe that they are original to the doll. She also wears nice antique cream-colored knit stockings and antique cream-colored oilcloth slip-on shoes. These also fit her perfectly.
