16.5" Glass-Eyed Parian – type Lady ~ Blue Band
Head: Her bisque shoulder head is perfect with no cracks, chips, or hairlines. The quality is very fine, her painting is fabulous, and her modeling is sharp with nice comb marks. Her pouty lips are accentuated with a darker red center line, her eye cuts are outlined in black, and her eyebrows are lightly feathered with long individual strokes. Her almond-shaped spiraled eyes are deep cobalt. She has partially exposed ears. Her hair is held up high on top in a molded blue band and she has large ringlets surrounding her face. She wears heart-shaped earrings and a beaded necklace with faux cameo pendant. Signs of wear: very light wear to the back of her curls and slight nicks at the earring holes. Factory imperfections: None noted.
Body: Her antique body is leather with bisque arms. There are splits on each side of her torso from her stand. The torso is soft-stuffed (no sawdust) so this does not present any problems. The very tips of two fingers are missing. Her hips and legs are rivet jointed, so she is able to sit.
Clothes: She is fully dressed in nice old clothing. Her two-part gown was made for her a long time ago, and it is very appropriate to her time period. It is burgundy velvet trimmed and lined in matching taffeta, and it is in very good aged condition. The underskirt is also made of the taffeta and there are a couple of tiny holes. Underneath, she wears a long antique half-slip and antique bloomers. The slip has little splits in the fabric and the bloomers are excellent. She also wears black antique stockings and old burgundy leather tie shoes.
