This pretty lady has the large eye cuts typical of Jumeau during the mid to late 1870's. This face was produced at the same time as Jumeau's Premier Bebe and the resemblance is remarkable. She retains her original wig and cork pate, and her original body is in excellent condition. She is wearing a three-piece gown with matching bonnet, antique unders, and antique side button boots. Layaway is always an option. Please contact me to discuss terms. Here are the details:
Head: Her pressed bisque head is perfect with no cracks, chips, hairlines. She has a swivel-neck on a kid-lined shoulderplate. She has very large bulbous wrap-around eyes. They are gray with a dark blue outer rim. She has the typical Jumeau domed-shaped neck button. She is marked "0" down in the neck socket. She retains her cork pate and her original mohair wig, which has long loose curls and a bun on top. Signs of wear: Hidden under the leather, there is a scratch on the shoulderplate. Factory imperfections: None.
Body: Her original Jumeau-style body has straight arms and legs. The body is extremely firm. It is in excellent condition with no patching, leaking, or repairs.
Clothes: She is fully dressed, including her three-piece gown, matching hat, full-slip, half-slip, bloomers, leather boots, and necklace. Her gown consists of a short jacket, long skirt, and an overskirt, trimmed in matching fringed fabric and lace. She has a matching wide-brimmed bonnet decorated with feathers. Underneath, she wears a gorgeous antique full-length slip with blue ribbon trim. Her half-slip and bloomers are possibly a matched set with her full-slip, but the ribbons have been replaced to match her dress instead. She also wears antique side-button black leather boots with yellow tassels.
