SUPER RARE Tiny Tears Ding Dong School Outfit for 11" Doll in ORIGINAL Presentation Box -- Miss Frances

The set is sized to fit your 1950's 11-12" Tiny Tears doll by American Character. This set may not be glamorous in the box, but wait until you wriggle it onto your pretty baby doll... it will be BREATH TAKING!

The set includes a white dotted swiss and embroidered dress-up outfit that was sold by sending in a coupon and payment to American Character Doll Co. back when Tiny was 'born' or in some specialty department stores.

This outfit is the 'HOLY GRAIL' of Tiny Tears outfits and includes: organdy dotted-swiss dress w/matching panties; silk taffeta kimono jacket and matching bonnet. All ribbons on both kimono and bonnet are crisp and like new; age related and intermittent very light soiling. Accessories include: pink rubber pacifier still in its original cellophane wrapper, slightly bent; rubber-tipped bubble pipe; pink-and-white knit booties; wash cloth; two wooden clothes pins; glass nursing bottle with intact rubber nipple.

All items accessories are still attached to their respective cardboard backing on both sides. Still has the original pink tissue insert as well and will be included.

I will include a copy of the literature documenting the outfit to keep with your doll. This outfit is very hard to find, and this one is in excellent condition. I have seen little more than a 1/2 dozen of these outfits over the last 12 years... obviously very hard to find ... this jacket and bonnet set has pretty red roses sprinkled across a white background.... gorgeous!

Next to last photo shows set as shown in Judith Izen's American Character Dolls book on page 33. You will note that this photo shows a small cake of Ivory Soap included in the set. Of the four unplayed with presentation boxed sets I have had, all have had the cello-wrapped rubber pacifier attached to the cardboard backing and not a cake of soap; this may have been a pre-production/catalog photo and it was decided later to include the pacifier and no soap.
