1843 Signed Silhouettes of Sailor and Son

Fine and uncommon framed silhouettes of Father and Son dated November of 1843 and February 24 of 1847. Incredible Hand painted portraits with ink & oils with the likes detail I have rarely found.

Father is in a Sailor uniform which leads we to believe these portraits were likely done at some port.

Portraits measure 3 1/4 x 4 and 3 x 4" inches. They are beautifully housed in their original period gilt frame which measures 7 x 9 1/4" inches.

Two of the better silhouette's I have owned in a very long time.
