Great 1930's Art Deco Painting of Blonde
This has always been one of my favorite Art Deco era oil paintings. The portrait reflects the Art Deco period that was essentially an eclectic style; it’s artists and designers plundering a diversity of historic sources. Simultaneously, however, it emphasized modernity, employing the latest industrial materials and techniques. It was this fusion of history and modernity that gave Art Deco and this painting its unique character.
The artist gave this attractive lady a close-up of her reality as seen by the world and herself.
The oil painting is on board and with the original frame measures 13 1/2 x 16 1/2" inches.
