Rare Cabinet Photograph of Presbyterian missionary legend May Chapin shown around 1905 with her pupils in China. May is standing in the back along with the children she took under her wing to develop their education and salvation. She was an active civil rights crusader for women and girls throughout China during her lifetime. She died suddenly in China just before she was to depart home to America in 1908. This photograph measures 4 x 6' inches and is likely the only known image of her and her school in China.
