1906 Love Letter William A.Morrow Wedowee Randolph County Alabama

Three page love letter written by 14 year old left handed William A.Morrow working at the Central Iron and Coal Company in Holt,Alabama. Dated November of 1906 the young William pines over a young lady named May. Not quite certain how to properly spell or pronounce her last name but some of you out there may have better luck by examining the photos provided.

There is a fair number of information on the old Central Iron & Coal Company by the University of Alabama where a 14 year old William worked as well as information on William A.Morrow himself. He was born May 16th 1896 and died April 29th 1987. His wife Lavada is buried next to him at the Mount Prospect Baptist Church in the town of Wedowee in Randolph County,Alabama. I have provided a photograph of his tombstone with appreciation by the Mount Prospect Baptist Church which was established in 1852. The Morrow family was one of the founding pioneer families that established the church.

Each hand written page measures 9' x 11 inches.
