The newspaper article which is pictured in this listing needs to be read in full.
I will state that young Upton was the child of Lillian Brookhart of 209 Tuxedo Avenue and was a student of El Doredo High School in Stockton, California. And that he became an Eagle Scout in the year 1923 just two years after joining the Boy Scouts.
Interestingly enough the father; (E.Upton Brookhart) is not stated in this article.
Though his father is stated in another article which is shown as being the Scout leader of his son Upton,Jr.
With this listing comes three 3' ½ x 6 inch original snapshot photographs of Upton from a performing duties in the field as an inspiring Eagle Scout. And in addition there is a large 7' x 11 inch studio photograph of Upton Brookhart wearing his Eagle Scout uniform.
The same photograph that the newspaper used in their article.
(Background) I purchased this grouping from the gentleman who was an Auschwitz Concentration camp survivor about 20 years ago here in St. Augustine,Fl.. He married a California lady whose family was from Stockton. When she passed away he moved to St. Augustine to be near his brother. When I met him he was dying from cancer and was moving back to Poland to die in his homeland. Of the hundreds if not thousands of collections & artifacts around the world I have purchased, this man and his story remains the most memorable.
