For your consideration we have a rather impressive and historically significant collection of 53 original 5 ½ x 7 inch glass negatives from the famed C.L.Wasson Studios of Decauter,Illinois that range in dates from 1899-1917. These glass images are from the photographer himself C.L.Wasson. This collection was purchased from his late grandson a few years ago. There are a good number of portraits where C.L.Wasson traveled into the country side taking portraits of rural farming communities and their families. And a good number of identified Decatur, Illinois affluent citizens. The glass negative of the actual photographic studio is pretty amazing in itself. If you are doing any kind of genealogical or historical research on Decauter,Il or Macon County this is a grouping you certainly do not want to miss out on.
