1955 A Boy Scout and Great to Be Alive... Collection

For your consideration a fine grouping of Cub Scout memorabilia with some uncommon Scout relics from the year of 1955. That year in many regards seems like a million years from today which defines socially, politically and morally. There were no police officers in our schools or metal detectors or horrific shootings. Government was for the people by the people. Everyone accepted the fact that working hard got you out of a lot of hardship and turmoil. Handouts were generally regarded as religious tracts and not food stamps, welfare or birth control. The Brooklyn Dodgers were finally, finally the WORLD CHAMPIONS and America was good...not perfect by any means with segregation hanging around like an old lynching party, but striving to be good if not great. This Cub Scout likely lived an America I would pray with all my heart would return.
