1798 Mourning Lovers Ring Harriet Blundstone Age 19~ 18kt. Gold

For your consideration I am proudly offering a Museum quality Georgian Period Mourning Ring. The ring is professionally tested 18kt. gold and is between a size 7 & 8. The engraving on the inside reads; Harriot Blundstone O.P. 3rd of August 1798. In the 1798 August edition of the Gentleman's Magazine of important people the following obituary is listed at Summers-place one Harriet 19 daughter of the late Mr. Rob B. of Falmouth died. Further research say's she died from a lover's quarrel which did not go into detail. Both shanks of the ring have a sumptuous hand painted blue enamel Egyptian design that gives the ring incredible balance and debonair. The glass dome secures a small lock of carefully woven blonde hair from Harriet.
