A very early mourning hair display that dates from about 1810-1830. This exquisite display has never had the back removed to reveal any further providence. This is one of the earliest mourning displays I have come across in many years,and certainly one of the most visually appealing mourning folk art creations.
Maple frame measures 8 x 10 inches with a dimple glass opening of 4 ½ x 6 ½ inches.
