Native American Tintype Photograph

A diminutive 1/16th plate tintype of a Native American man in western clothing. This portrait may have been taken at the famed or infamous Carlisle Indian Industrial School (1879–1918). Though the gentleman pictured is obviously not of school age many Adults were also sent there to be reassembled back into society.

From the expression on his face I don’t believe he was pleased about wearing western clothing.
