A unique 19th century Victorian prototype model of Lord Nelson's Column in Trafalgar square in London,England. This model is constructed of old world marble of the up-most highest quality. The piece stands 15’ inches tall and weighs 16 pounds. All in all constructed and carved from one piece of the finest marble known to mankind. This was the genesis of the model used to construct one of the most recognizable monuments in Europe.
The Victorians were fond of having models of famed landmarks and monuments. This is the only example of such I have ever owned.
