Here is an outstanding collection of fourteen very interesting 19th century original photographs of Horses,Pets & Owners. Most of these photographs were taken out west in California,Colorado,Oregon,New Mexico and so fourth. A fair number of them are identified by either photographer, place or subject. Some of the images state who is in the photograph by name. For example a photograph of a gentleman on a small bridge with his horse & one man buggy is identified as Doctor Briggs. Dr. Briggs is on his way to making a country side house call somewhere in northern California. There is an early Cabinet styled photo of two Berkeley,California business men taking a cold ride from their storage company. The sign above them states; "Storage & Baggage Berkeley". Another photograph shows an early Rose Bowl parade with multiple ladies dressed in white with their rose covered wagon and team of white horses. There are Riverside,Ca. photographs from the 1890's and Colorado Springs,Co. photos from the 1880's by photographer Roy Sing. And as you can see many more outstanding images.
A fine topical collection of better than normal content and subject matter.
