A very interesting and professionally group of 12 wet plate glass slides showing a gold mining camp, town, paddle boat and various Alaskan scenes from around the turn of the 20th century. Each slide measures 3" x 4 inches and as the box they came in indicated they were taken by a man named Bill Gates. A very good name to have this century but could not find anything on a photographer with that name during that time period. Though the quality of the images are superb and appear to have been taken by a trained artist.
