Now here is a beautiful find! Here is a gorgeous a large glass signed Georges Briard wheat tray. The three branched flowers are very intricate and in yellow and white. The flowers on the tray are 8 or 10 inches tall. The stems were brown and the flower brackets are yellow and white or white with yellow flowers. The four leaves are two toned dark and light brown. They are lined drawn. The surface of the drawing is raised and can be felt. It is signed in cursive reading Georges Briard with a R in a circle. The tray has a bit of a indent in it so it will hold the canapés on it without slipping off. It has wood handles with metal gold tips. The handles are anchored are three sided so they anchor right on the glass. The tray is 13 ½ inches wide and 16 ½ inches long with the handles. The depth of the tray is hard to measure but I would say 1 ½ inches deep. Due to the size of this tray and the box it is packed in the weight is 5 pounds. It is packed extremely well. The lines of this glass tray are so graceful and sometimes are called bent glass.
