Vintage Japan Blue willow saucers
These three vintage blue willow Japan saucers are beautiful with their mural scene of life. The plates measure 5 ¾ inches across and shows the classic scene of three fishermen, a boat, kissing birds and beautiful scenery. All of this is done in blue with a white background. The outside 1 inch edge of this saucer has an intricate scroll and pebble pattern on it. The back of the saucers has the word Japan printed on it. The back also has some blue staining on it as if the paint bled through in the painting process. I see two tiny nicks on the bottom of the plate where it sets on the table. There is some crazing on some of these plates. Shipping weight is 2 pounds. If you are looking for saucers to complete your set or replace one that was dropped here they are.
