1950's Swiss Chalet by Marcrest bowl & cups
Here is a 3 piece set, bowl and cups of 1950's Swiss Chalet by Marcrest. This hand decorated pattern is in navy and green trees with branches. Near that are light blue clouds with a dark dot inside a circle. The 5 plus inch wide bowl and has a light blue rim on the white bowl. The pieces often were given as promotions for gas stations and grocery stores. The two cups/mugs are 3 inches wide and 3 inches tall. The cups have a Made in U.S.A. imprint in the base. This pattern was distributed under many brand names. The shipping weight on this set is 2 pounds. Some call this pattern Swiss Alpine. This pattern was discontinued in 1960 and is somewhat hard to find.
