Hand Painted Japanese Tea Set

This lovely hand painted Japanese Tea Set includes one large teapot, covered sugar bowl, creamer, 4 cups, 5 saucers and 6 dessert plates. We purchased this set because of its fragile beauty; it will be sold as a set for four. The extra cup and two extra plates will be considered just that. The stunning hand painted design is a delicate stem of pink blossoms on a pale blue background; with a white bird in flight. Foliage of stem is trimmed in heavy gold leaf. Each piece carries a hallmark on the bottom. I have not been able to identify the mark. The teapot stands approximately 4 1/2 inches high, is 5 1/4 inches in diameter and 9 3/4 inches from tip of spout to end of handle. The handles on the teapot, creamer, sugar bowl and lids are gold. The cups and saucers are very delicate with gold rim edges; saucers have a 3/8 inch turned up edge. The dessert plates measure 7 1/2 inches in diameter and also have gold rim edges. It is quite lovely. New York State Tax must be collected for buyers living in or picking up in New York State. Local tax rate applies.
