Offered here is a stunning 18th Century Mahogany Georgian Tilt Top Tea Table. It is quite lovely with a very beautiful original finish. The top measures 33 1/2 inches in diameter. In the center is a single carved flower with acanthus leaves design, the edge of the table has eight scallops, within each scallop is a carved circle. Additional line and diamond scroll work can be found tucked in around the four point center carving. Each leg has a carved acanthus leaf design at top with carved claw-like foot. Height of table when closed measures 28 inches; when the tilt-top is up it measures 46 inches high. At some time in history a very good repair was made to one of the legs; there is also a small indentation on the top surface where a screw from the bottom is visible. These were obviously done some time ago as they have aged nicely and are barely visible. The table remains sturdy and still quite beautiful. See photos. Sales tax must be collected for buyers living in or picking up in New York State. Local tax rate applies.
