HUGE Celluloid Ladies Dress Buckle~Ivory Colored Plastic

Nice generous size measuring 5 1/4" tall and 3 1/4" wide, this celluloid plastic buckle sure makes a statement! I imagine it was worn by someone with a really, really tiny waist in the 1930's or early 1940's.

It has a nice soft ivory patina. I have taken some really close up photos to show a blemish that I have noticed. I believe it is a scratch rather than a crack as it does not go through to the other side. I can, however, feel it with my fingernail. You decide.
