Vintage Enamel Hand Painted West Germany Butterfly Brooch
This pretty little butterfly brooch or pin is hand painted enamel. The butterfly is done with a Cream back ground, Blue flowers, Yellow centers and Green leaves. The body is blue to match the flowers. The brooch is 1 1/2" tall and 2 1/4" wide. The pin is made with 2 pieces of metal in the shape of the butterfly, one behind the other with the top one painted with the enamel. The pin on the back has MADE in W GERMANY stamped on the pin frame. The butterfly is in excellent shape with no chips, the clasp has a slight kink in the wire but the pin still works and locks nice and tight.
