Lovely old Book of Common Prayer, with ivorine or similar material front and back and spine with hallmarked sterling silver cross on front, truly beautiful! Title page is the Book of Common Prayer and Administration of the Sacraments and other Rites and Ceremonies of the Church according to the use of The Church of England together with The Psalter or Psalms of David, printed in Oxford, the University Press, London: Henry Frowde, gold gilt over red tinted outer page edges, marker ribbon. The book is a nice personal size, measuring 4 & 5/8" tall by 3 & 1/4" wide by 1" thick and is in good condition, mild age signs, mild wear, binding strong, prior owner inscription on ffep dated 1912, but the table of movable feasts inside starts with 1899. We find the ivorine books occasionally, usually not in this nice condition and rarely with a fine sterling cross.
