Celluloid True Miniature Book Of Common Prayer 1898
Offering for sale a wonderful true miniature (3" and under to be the real deal), edition of The Book Of Common Prayer, lovely front cover of celluloid or ivorine with cross, the back cover plain, spine dark green leather with gold gilt title; marbled end papers, pages have some foxing, published by Oxford, University Press, 688 pages, assumed publication date 1898 due to religious calendar inside. This beauty is 2 & 1/4' tall and in good condition, overall structurally sound, there is a slight separation at the lower of the first several pages from the spine, see photo, yet they feel firm and secure.. We acquired this from a collector of fine miniature books, who parted with a few, all for sale in this shop.
