Very old Nuns reliquary cross and locket in original ribbon. The Crucifix is of bronze or heavy brass tone metal with locking screw present and in working order. The Corpus of Christ is very detailed and lovely. On the back of this cross are Passion symbols, very unusual to find one of these. Inside the cross a labeled Agnus Dei, S. Cacilia, S. Cleme , (assumed Clement) and one Saint we can't read, we think it begins with a J or B. Inside the bronze or similar locket is a photo or print of the crowned Virgin Mary holding the young Jesus in the Infant of Prague style. The crucifix measures 2 & 1/4" long not counting the length of the screw, and is 1" across. The locket measures 3/4" not counting the bale and loops. Both pieces are in good structural condition with age wear as expected and from being loved and touched for many many years. This came to us from France. One of the rarest pieces from our personal collection, we have loved this for many years ourselves.
