Old Hand Sewn & Embroidered Sacred Heart Reliquary Nun Estate
Beautiful old wool hand sewn and hand embroidered Sacred Heart from the estate of a Nun in France. It measures 1 & 7/8" by 2 & 1/4" and is in good condition. The details of the sewing are lovely. We are calling it a reliquary as there may be something between the applique red Sacred Heart and the backing wool, which would by typical of this type of work, possibly a small sliver of Agnus Dei, just not sure. It has been well loved in our collection for many years.
