Offering for sale a fabulous old and rare medal or medallion. it is of fine heavy bronze and dated 1913. On the front a beautiful image of we believe Saint Anne and her daughter the Virgin Mary, surrounded by the words "Mater Bonorum Studiorum Ora Pro Nobis". On the back a persons name, the date, and "Cours Normal Reims". This medal measures 1 & 1/2" across and is in quite good condition with minor wear only. I tried to get a correct translation for the words on the front, ranging from "Queen of the Pius Schools" to others that made no sense at all., a fellow seller translates this as Good Mother Teacher. Regardless, a beautiful image, fine metal, a find for the medal collector, and a true treasure for anyone who loves the Virgin Mary.
