Art Nouveau Dress Buckle Lovely Lady

Beautiful original Art Nouveau dress buckle, of the so called ivorine or celluloid with applied brass tone metal lady with flowing hair and flowers. All original and just fabulous, in good condition too, we see some tarnish on the metal part of the buckle that does not show, the exterior celluloid just lovely and nice age patina on the applied metal decoration. This lovely buckle measures 4 & 3/4" across when fastened and is 4 & 1/8" tall. No maker marks, but this piece is shown in at least one of the more popular vintage jewelry books, we will try to find out the title and provide that information. On the back of each side are the three original fasteners for sewing the buckle onto your fabric or backing. A rare piece.
