Art Deco Bakelite Chain Necklace With Egyptian Revival Style Pendant

So cool and a rare find, this original Art Deco bakelite chain with pendant necklace from our personal collection. It features a chain of two colors of butterscotch bakelite links in graduated size, and suspended in the center a fabulous pendant with Egyptian revival style enamel designs colored and etched onto the large butterscotch bakelite medallion, with a center faux citrine or yellow amethyst faceted stone. The pendant measures 2 & 1/2" long including the top loop, and the necklace laid flat is 17", and the chain is 29 & 1/2" around. It is all original with one exception, the original bakelite hook broke years ago, and we have replaced it with a metal hook. The overall condition is good, a little loss of color here and there on the pendant, you have to look closely to see that, mild wear on the bakelite, but overall very nice, and we have never seen another piece like this ever. It is from our personal collection, bought over 30 years ago from an antique jewelry dealer that traveled the country buying and selling, she would show up in my driveway with her van full of goodies several times a year and we would sit til the wee morning hours going through drawers and drawers of amazing costume jewelry. She also sold to some of the finest stores on Rodeo Drive in California and also in NYC. Those were the days!
