Victorian Black Gold & Seed Pearl Large Mourning Bar Pin
Fabulous large Victorian bar pin, a mourning pin of black onyx, could be jet, with applied beautiful gold metalwork and seed pearls. We are assuming the seed pearls are real, the gold is either fine antique gold filled or could be karat gold, it would damage the pin to attempt to test that area. The pin is mounted on more gold or gold filled on the back with the clasp. The pin measures 2 & 3/4" long and is in very very nice condition. It also has a hanging loop on the lower back from which you can suspend a pendant, locket or watch. Just a magnificent piece.
