Victorian Gold Filled Brooch Pin With Cherub Angel Cameo Fine Jewelry
Lovely Victorian brooch or pin, of fine gold filled or rolled gold of the time, with fine engraved designs plus beautiful black enamel work on both the pin and the center dangle, just beautiful. In the center a small oval shell cameo of a cherub or angel. This cameo appears to have been glued on , and may or may not be original to the pin, although from the same time period. The precious little winged fellow appears to be carrying a flaming torch while running, just lovely. On the back is the pin fastener in good working order. This pin measures 1 & 1/4" across and is 1 & 1/2" tall from top to end of center dangle.
