French Crucifix & Holy Water Font Leather & Porcelain

Offering for sale a most beautiful antique Holy Water font with crucifix. It is a French piece, lovely cinnamon brown leather background with gold gilt decorative stamping and copper tone metal crucifix with wonderful detailed metalwork in the fine Corpus of Jesus. The lovely cross has grape vines and leaves in the background, with figures of an angel, cow, lamb and bird on the four ends of the cross. the crucifix is 6 & 1/2' long; with the entire piece measuring 10 & 5/8' tall and 7" wide. Below the crucifix is a fine porcelain holy water bowl; blue on white with hand painted flowers and applied white porcelain border and brass strap. The back of this piece is a faille type backing. This is a rare piece to find, and in very good condition.
