Carved Bone Victorian Antique Cross Religious Christianity
Offering for sale a fabulous antique cross. This is Victorian, carved of fine bone , and I do mean fine; you have to look very closely to tell that it is not ivory!. It features a beautiful pierced design with five fabulous large carved roses and scalloped pierced border, original bale, and lovely age patina. The carving is very deep and well sculpted. it is 3 & 3/8" tall and 1 & 7/8" wide. It is 1/2" thick and in very good condition with no significant damage of any kind and mild wear from age. This has come to us from a very fine local collection.
