Beautiful and rare to find antique needlework, this was intended to be a collar or perhaps a pair of cuffs for a fine Victorian ensemble. We were told this was called Cloth Of Gold, but we have been unable to verify this name, any help form the needlework community would be greatly appreciated. We do know this is antique, all original, still has a stitching holding the two pieces together. Colors are gold, wine, brick red, copper , cinnamon and black. There are two pieces, each approximately 12" long and 3 & 1/2" wide at the center. As these were handmade, one piece is slightly longer than the other. They are in good condition, with some age wear from being stored mainly on the fabric "buttons".
