Pair Gold Gilt Busts Statues Italian Grecian Style Decorative Arts
Offering for sale a beautiful pair of busts or head statues in a nice Italian or Grecian Antiquities style. One man, one woman, both vintage chalk ware with lovely gold gilt finish, appears to be over a reddish gesso, as we see some peeking through the gold, we also believe the finish to be original to the pieces. They are 12 & 1/2" and 12 & 3/4" tall, in good condition with no cracks or repairs, mild wear from age only. We acquired these from a fine antiques shop. Country of origin unknown, but probably Italy; they have an old World Art sticker on one base indicating not from the USA. Price is for the set, not for sale individually.
