Birmingham Silver Co 6 Piece Old Silver Plate Tea Set Tea Coffee Cream Sugar Waste & Tray Silver On Copper
Lovely old silver plate tea and coffee service, consisting of coffee pot, tea pot, cream, sugar with lid, waste bowl and large ornate footed tray with handles. Lovely old patina on this fine heavy silver plate, all pieces are identically marked as silver over copper on the bottoms along with the hallmarks for the Birmingham Silver Company of Yalesville Connecticut, we have been told these marks are mid 20th century, but that is anecdotal. The tray is footed with comfortable handles and measures 25" long including the handles and is 15" wide. The coffee pot is 11 & 1/2" tall, the tea pot 10" tall, sugar with lid 7 & 1/4" tall, creamer 6 & 1/2" tall to tip of handle, and the waste bowl 5" tall. All pieces in good condition structurally, mild age wear , we see no repairs, interiors fairly clean with no pitting, we did not polish the interiors for the photos. Beautiful patina on all pieces, and this is heavy, fine silver plate, all over copper and just lovely.
