Beautiful old picture frame, possibly once held a mirror, in fabulous metalwork. It was originally silver over copper, and after years of polishing is now copper on the front, with the silverplate still evident on the back. On the front top are two lovely angels or winged cherubs with a center crown, shells, flowers, nuts, corn , grapes, etc; a veritable potpourri of lovely details surrounding the entire piece. It measures 13 & 3/4" tall, 8 & 1/2" wide and holds art or mirror size 7" by 8 & 1/2". On the back are two rows of hallmarks for the maker. Other than the now vanished silver on the front, it is in very very good condition, with glass and ready to hold your treasured document, photo or another mirror.
