Miniature Persian Bokhara Rug Wool Needlepoint Needlework Carpet

Offering for sale a wonderful miniature rug or carpet for your collection! This is a Persian rug, a Bokhara design, handcrafted in pure wool in needlepoint on canvas. It measures 7 & 1/4" long including the fringe and 6 & 3/8" wide and in very good condition. The colors are black, dark red or maroon, deep wine, red, creamy white and light beige and palest yellow; the black may actually be an extremely dark green, hard to tell.. We acquired this from the estate of a lady who did needlework her entire life; and also miniatures! She had books dating back to the thirties on both subjects, and we think she may have taught others these crafts due to the large number of materials in her home. We were lucky to acquire all of her rug miniatures, cruise our shop for the others. Circa 1970's or older, dated by the age of the yarn wrappers and materials in her home. The last photo shows the back side with the hand tied knots, etc; and her typed label for the Bokhara design.
