Set 8 Carl Thieme Antique Dresden Dessert Plates Hand Painted Flowers

Absolutely the best hand painted plates set we ever had, signed Carl Thieme, Dresden; beautiful reticulated porcelain of white background with knock-dead gorgeous hand painted flowers in the center, in four cartouches and also the four reticulated panels, with shiny gold accent trim and a wonderful glaze. These are dessert or party size, measuring 7 & 3/8" across. The edges are gently scalloped as well, and all eight have the signature on the back, these are antique and wonderful. Note that each plate is slightly different adding more to your pleasure in viewing them and their investment value. All eight are in very good condition with no damage or repairs and only the slightest of wear. The artistic quality of these is of the highest; all are worthy of being on display. Modern cameras do not do justice to the rich colors in these plates, they are much prettier than the photos. These came to us from a family friend; they had been in his family for many generations.
