Set 5 Cups & Saucers Japanese Porcelain Highly Decorated Fine Dining

Offering for sale a set of five cups and saucers and one extra cup of beautiful porcelain in a lovely Oriental design. We believe this to be Japanese, it is marked on the bottom but we can not identify the mark. It features white with hand painted Oriental ladies in elegant Kimono with Japanese lanterns, pagodas, trees and pink flowers with white embellishment; an outer rim of fired cobalt blue glaze overlaid with shiny gold and red; and matching ladies on the cup, just beautiful ! These photos do not do this justice, these are much prettier than the photos. Each cup and saucer is of course a tiny bit different; all the same design, but the hand painted faces, etc naturally have individuality. The saucers are 5 & 1/2" across, and the cups 3 & 7/8" wide and 2" tall. All are in good condition with no damage or repairs, very minor wear only from being stored, we don't think the family that owned these ever used them much at all. They traveled in the Orient and Europe their entire life and collected only the finest ! Price is for the set, not for sale individually.
