Rare George Zee Carved Oriental Nested Tables Set 4
What a thrill to offer this set of nested tables, with the original George Zee label on the bottom of the smallest! This is only the second time in our many years that we have been lucky to own a George Zee furniture item, and in this case four of them, a lovely set of 4 nested tables with beautiful and deep carved tops featuring of course their trademark Oriental figures and scenes. The smallest table has a lower shelf as well. The sizes of the tops are as follows starting with the largest: 20 & 1/2" by 14 & 1/2" , 17" by 12 & 1/2" , 13 & 1/2" by 11 & 1/2" , and 10" by 10". The heights are 27" , 24" , 21" and 18". All tables are in overall good condition structurally; the smallest table has a crack going into one side, see photos, it does not affect the functionality at all; and there is a repair at the top of one leg on one table which is insignificant. All tables do show mild wear from age. These tables were originally designed to have glass over the carvings, and the sides of the table are raised to allow for such. However, if using them as decorative only it would not be necessary. If purchasing these, do not have your glass cut until the tables arrive so you can get an exact measurement of the area to be covered, which is a little smaller than the overall sizes of the tops.
