Set 4 Carved Arts & Crafts Eastlake Dining Side Chairs Pineapple Design

Offering for sale a lovely set of four dining side chairs in very good condition from the Eastlake and Arts & Crafts Period. These feature hardwood, all or predominantly walnut, with beautifully carved backs featuring a center pineapple design carved into the back and in the open area between the back supports. There are decorative spindles between the gently curved back supports, each cross piece with a center burl effect done we believe with fine veneer work; and lovely turnings on the front stretchers. The top of the back also features more carvings. Each chair is slightly unique due to the carving, but it is an original matched set. The seats are 17 & 1/2" from the floor, 17 & 1/2" wide at the front; and the chairs are 34 & 1/2" tall at the back. They have a rich deep melon upholstery, not original, in good usable condition; we do see some minor water staining on a few; braid trim surrounding the seats. These chairs are comfortable and sturdy. Price is for the set of four, not for sale individually. Some age wear of course, possibly repairs over the years, some possible loss of burl at upper pineapple carvings, not sure as each was done individually; but in quite good condition, sturdy and pretty.
