Royal Rochester Waffle Iron with Floral Ceramic Lid

This is a very lovely vintage waffle iron with Art Deco styling. It is chrome plated and has a ceramic top. The top is the Royal Rochester Black Fraunfelter Leaf and Myrtle Pattern. The ceramic lid has a white background and is accented on two sides with pretty flowers in purple, yellow, orange and lavender and the leaves are black, green and orange. There is also a green border or thin line around the edge of the ceramic top. It has very pretty decorative handles. On the bottom in raised metal is the following information: "Royal Rochester, Robeson Rochester Corp, Rochester, N.Y. 110-120V 64GW Pat. Appl'd For 12800."

It measures approximately 10" in diameter not including the protrusions of the handles and it is 5 ½" high. It does not have an electric cord. It dates to around the 1930's. This is a wonderful kitchen collectible.

The condition is good for its age and the fact it was a working appliance. There is wear on the chrome, some oxidation and the handles which are fragile have some damage.
