This is a nice children's book and is appropriate for both boys and girls. It is about a young boy who wants his own dog above all else and how he is bullied by a neighboring boy. The theme is timeless. The story tells how the boy proves to his parents that he is responsible enough to have a dog and how caring for the dog impacts his being bullied.
